Cannot Update

I currently have MV Kit Creator Pro version 1.0 build 9. I tried multiple ways to update to the current listed version, 1.0 build 26. The following are the methods I have tried, all have failed.

1) selected "Check for Updates" in the help menu. It finds and update, downloads a ZIP file that is only 42 bytes in size, and tells me to unzip it and run the update. The file is corrupted, because it is not complete.
2) checked the MV Kit Creator Help file. Searched for "update", and found a page with a URL that is supposed to list updates. URL results in a 404 error, page not found.
3) Tried to send in a bug report form on the Chicken Systems website, completed the form correctly and attempted to send. Met with a "Error 12 in form, please try again"
4) emailed Chicken Systems support just a moment ago. Waiting on a response.

So is there any way possible I might obtain the official update for the product I have purchased?

Some computers don't take the direct download very well. In those cases, go to the URL listed in Updating in the manual (which you've already done).

Having same problems "Delete File Failed Code 5" when trying to update MV Creator pro.
Hope you guys fix this soon.

(BTW, Mesaone's issue has been resolved, he didn't get some emails.)

The Error 5 is actually not our issue; it's yours. You can't update while MV Kit Creator is running. The installer explicitly specifies this. Shut down MVKC and the error will go away.

You were right the error was on my side, but still I search your wed side for similar error but didn't find any solution.
So for further generation to come when you read this "CLOSE YOUR MVCREATOR BEFORE UPDATING IT"

On the MVKC Updater installer, it says this in UPPERCASE bold letters. (The problem with installers is that everyone blows through them so much, and they don't read the details (which are there for a reason.))
