NI Kontakt to Kurzweil

Postby dawsonaudio » Tue Jul 27, 2010 3:47 pm

I'm using the demo free version to try and convert Kontakt to Kurzweil samples. I'm getting a kurzweil file with all the audio files seperate. I've burnt the files to a cdrom, loaded all files in the kurzweil, but nothing plays. Normally, I've been using Kurzfiler to make my own programs. Am I going to have to do that here or am I missing a step in Translator, my burning process, or my loading process? I saw that there was a Special Kurzweil translator, but there is no way for me to demo that one to see if this will work. Thank you,

Mark

You should just wind up with one Kurzweil file, that's it. Are you using Mac or Windows?

Take that one .krz file and load it into your Kurzweil, should play.

When converting to Kurzweil.....

Kontakt gives me K2000 file and wave files. Giga gives me just the K2000 file.

Both load into the Kurzweil, but I can't here either of them. When I go into the Kurzweil, I can play the individual samples (audible),
but the when I select the program to play, nothing is audible.

Is the software tested with all samplers before it's released? Will this, or is this an issue with the Special Edition One Format version of Translator?

Is the Kurzweil format too hard to translate?

I can create programs with Kurzfiler, but obviously, can't translate the Kontakt or Giga programs with it. These programs load and play on my sampler fine.

It was tested quite extensively.

For any issues, please consult the manual, and also consult the stickys in this forum. They say that for any issue, file a Bug Report www.chickensys.com/translator/bugreports and supply the file you are converting. (Not the KRZ)

Consulted the manual, says that the conversion to kurzweil from kontakt and giga are in beta test. It didn't say anything else.

Are you the tech or a sales rep for translator?

I'm a tech.

The entry in the Help File is out of date. Format Status is officially listed here: www.chickensys.com/support/software/tra ... status.php

->Kurzweil is fully supported and released. If you have any issues (seems like you do), submit the source file in question to Bug Reports www.chickensys.com/translator/bugreports

What K keyboards have you tested this on? Have you tested on a K2661? Still no luck what-so-ever translating any format (except .krz) into .krz. Submitted a bug report months ago now, no response.

Is that Issue number 4350? I'll make sure it's taken care of.

Have you been able to verify why we aren't getting the translated programs able to play?
